Kindergarden

The daily school schedule of the kindergarten is enriched with a wide selection of activities and includes:

  • Hands and Crafts
  • Books and notebooks (for the students’ familiarization with the world of writing and numbering)
  • First contact with English through daily games with the teachers.

The teaching process takes place –for the most part- through projects .This method is particularly important since it offers students the opportunity to participate actively in the teaching process. This way, cooperation among students as well as respect is promoted. All students’ ideas are recorded in histograms ,which cover all aspects of children’s growth (mental, physical, sentimental, cognitive, social) and at the end of this process all of the ideas, which have been discussed, are realized.

THE DISCOVERY OF CHILDREN’S SKILLS AND SPECIAL TALENTS IS THOROUGH.

Education through music and dance as well as theatrical game have a special part to play in the daily schedule. Children’s artistic talents and skills are developed through experiential learning methods and their soul is cultivated. Another equally important sector, which is included in our daily schedule, is that of music instructing. Our music teacher initiates children gradually in the world of music both through the use of musical instruments and music theory.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND COMPUTER USE

The familiarization with new technologies is considered to be essential in the modern world of information. Special training programs , attuned with the syllabus of kindergarten, help our students apply everything they have learned and discover the potential offered through their interaction with new technologies. At the same time our specialized teacher helps children develop some basic skills as far as computer use is concerned.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

In our school we believe it is vital that students be initiated in Greek culture and heritage. Children learn how to put on theatrical, musical and dancing performances and they also visit places of cultural significance. Well-organized educational trips are included in our curriculum.

PARENT COUNSELING

Cooperation with parents is constant and necessary and our relationships are sincere and meaningful. Parent counseling has a major role to play in this part. Our primary concern is for our work to be acknowledged through the result of our efforts, that is to say, our own students’ performance and their parents’ gratitude.
