CULTURE AS A USEFUL TOOL
In a strictly technocratic age, culture serves as a great counterbalance, which releases creativity, thus inculcating the meaning of well-rounded education. The love for beauty, aesthetics, collectivity and emulation, search for the principles of life and respect to other people, are cultivated through exceptional theatrical performances and multidimensional musical events.
The students of our school have taken part in various performances in the Music Hall of Athens, the National Opera House, the Herodium, the Delphi Stadium, the Lycabettus Theater, the National Gallery, the French Institute and a lot of theaters both in Greece and abroad. A great example of the latter is that they represented Greece in the biggest music hall in the world, the “Queen Elisabeth Hall”, during a weekly Greek music festival in London, and at an International Meeting in Paris.
Every School year cultural tributes are organized in the school theater, which is called “Romanos the Melodist Theater’. Our students put on outstanding theatrical as well as music and dance performances, which are prepared with love and enthusiasm during extracurricular hours.
